30 September - 7 October 2012 | Berlin, Warsaw, Germany

It is the first time when SALTO EECA together with German and Polish NAs of the YiA Programme invite 22 EVS coordinators and project managers from the EECA countries to discover the EVS reality in these countries. Don't loose such unique opportunity!
Date and Venue: The Study Visit "EVS reality in Germany and Poland" will take place from 30th September till till 7th October 2012 (Sunday 30th is arrival day and Sunday 7th is departure day). First, participants will visit EVS organisations in Berlin and Brandenburg region, then in Warsaw and its neighbourhood. Aim * to discover EVS realities in Germany and Poland Objectives: * to share EVS experiences and practices between hosting countries participants and Eastern Europe and Caucasus participants; * to get inspiration for new EVS projects; * to develop capacity of EVS organizations in EECA region; * to foster mutual knowledge and understanding between participants from different countries involved; * to promote sustainable contacts between the youth NGOs aiming at future development of EVS projects Participants: Study Visit will bring together 22 EVS coordinators and project managers representing accredited EVS organisations from 7 EECA countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine); Participants profile: * beeing in charge of EVS activities in his/her organisation (NOTE! The previous experience in EVS projects management is not requested); * representing EVS accredited organisation or organisation which is in process of EVS accreditation; * having a working knowledge of English, the working language of the activity; * available to actively attend the full duration of the activity; Programme elements: * Presentation of participants and organisations, * Discussion about the specifities of the EVS cooperation with EECA region, * Presentation of the EVS reality in Germany and Poland, * Visits to different EVS organisation and institutions, * EVS fairs. Team of organisers: The team is composed by Action 2 officers from German and Polish National Agencies of the Youth in Action Programme - respectively Mireille Gras and Melania Miksiewicz as well as by Tomasz Szopa from the SALTO Eastern Europe & Caucasus Resource Centre.

Costs

Financial Conditions * The lodging, board and local transportation during the study visit will be provided by organisers. * International travel costs as well as visa costs will be paid by organisers of the study visit too. * Participants cover by themselves the costs of insurance and local transport from the airport to the venue.
