Training Course

"Mentorship & EVS" aims to rise competences of EVS mentors from 7 countries of Eastern Europe and Caucasus region in supporting learning process of EVS volunteers as well as to inspire them to spread good practice in this field.
Main Objectives: - to gain knowledge and understanding on what is EVS mentoring in sense of the Youth in Action Programme Guide; - to develop mentor’s competences needed to provide learning support to EVS volunteers; - to deepen understating of the key competences and Youthpass process; - to identify potentials and dangers in EVS mentoring process; - to share possible tools and methods for EVS mentoring; - to establish contacts between EVS mentors, so they can support each other in the future if needed; - to inspire participants to share the acquirements from the training with other mentors back in their home countries, in particular to develop action plans for multiplying the EVS mentorship concept during a month after the training; Participants: TC "Mentorship & EVS" will bring together 30 EVS mentors from 7 EECA countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine) who are interested in own further developments in the area of EVS mentoring. Participants profile: - having already some experience in mentoring, supporting and coaching EVS volunteers; - having a mandate from EVS accredited organisation located in one of 7 EECA countries; - to be motivated to develop further own mentor’s competences as well as to share training acquirements with other mentors back in own environment; - having a working knowledge of English, the working language of the TC - available to actively attend the full duration of the course Team of the TC "Mentorship & EVS": Trainers team will be composed by 2 trainers, experienced in EVS mentoring as well as having understanding of EECA peculiarities (especially in non-formal education area). Costs

The board and lodging during the training course for all participants will be provided by organisers. Travel costs of participants will be also covered by organisers. Participants need to cover their medical/travel insurance and local connections to airport/train station in their home countries [in case if it is less than 100 km]).

Participants are entitled to receive a Youthpass certificate from the organiser, for recognition of their competence development during the activity. Read more about Youthpass:
