This training is intended to involve young people and youth workers who face social and economic exclusion due to unemployment and financial difficulties produced by today’s unfavorable economic climate and lack of jobs for young people.
CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS
Purpose of the training & Profile of participants:
This training is intended to improve youth work through the involvment of 21 participants UK, ITALY, SPAIN, PORTUGAL, ROMANIA, TURKEY AND BULGARIA who face social and economic exclusion due to unemployment and financial difficulties produced by today’s unfavorable economic climate and lack of jobs for young people (not exclusively).
Working language of the training will be English. However, limited interpretation and linguistic support will be available.
Participants
21 participants (artists, animators, activists, trainers, volunteers, etc.) that work and/or act in the cultural social sector using theatre and video.
Profile of the participants
We are looking for participants who:
- would like to share and to explore realities and issues related to social exclusion/inclusion
- have some experience in working with art, video and/or theatre methods
- are able to be a multiplier of the methods learnt during the training
- are able to participate on the whole duration of the training
- are able to communicate in English

Venue:
Training will be hosted at Glenthurston in London. Accommodation and food are paid by the organizer.
All participants will have to come to London in their own arrangement.
70% of total travel costs incurred will be reimbursed. Travel costs reimbursement will only be possible in the amount of presented tickets and boarding passes! Participants are strongly encouraged to buy return tickets as soon as possible.
More specific info concerning all logistical issues will be given to selected participants.
This project will bring 21 people from diverse backgrounds, the primary focus of the Training Course will be the use of theatre and video as tool to explore the topic of social inclusion and how these tools can be used to achieve this. The project is based on practical work.
Costs
The selected participants will receive:
- travel cost reimbursement - 70%
- the board and lodging are covered by the project
- participation fee: 30 £
