Virtual Library for promoting the European Heritage
A European training course that combines teaching ICT skills (virtual books, wikispaces and editing photos) with insights about the European heritage and Romania. Participants must apply at their Grundvigh NAs for grants to cover 100% of their costs.

The aim:
The aim of this project is to offer an innovative multinational learning experience relevant to strengthening the support of European citizens for a shared European identity and to foster a sense of belonging to a common cultural space.
The objectives:
- to improve the transversal competences of participants such as civic competences, intercultural communication skills and their entrepreneurship spirit which will facilitate their adaptation to a society in continuous change and to the requirements of the labour market;
- to develop their competences of using new technologies of information and communication to promote their local heritage;
- to increase the awareness of the importance of the sustainable development of the local cultural heritage;
- to acknowledge their cultural identity and to develop their sensitivity towards the cultures of other European countries;
Methods:
- using ICT and internet tools to accomplish the learning objectives;
learning by doing;
- working collectively;
- sharing experiences and examples of good practice;
- alternation of presentations with research on the field for creating products;
- constant assistance, guidance and feedback;
- reflection and evaluation;

Costs
You need to apply for a Grundtvig grant at your National Agency before 16 January 2012. The grant will cover 100% your expenses (transport, accommodation, meals, course fee).
Steps to take:
1. Send us an email that you would like to participate in the course.
2. We will send a pre-registration confirmation. Print it because you will need to enclose it to your application for a Grundtvig grant to the National Agency.
3. Contact your National Agency and ask about action “Grundtvig in service training for adult education staff” the deadline for application for a grant and all required documents. See the List of the National Agenties and their websites here: http://ec.europa.eu/education/lifelong-learning-programme/doc1208_en.htm. The deadline may be earlier in your country, so check it now!
4. Fill in the application form (you will find it on the website of your National Agency) and enclose confirmation of pre-registration and any other documents required by your National Agency. Read the instructions very carefully and the description of the course . You need to fulfil the formal requirements completely, and you need to prove that your attendance on the course meets your training needs and the programme's purposes and goals.
5. If you successfully get a Grundtvig grant, this grant will cover the transport, accommodation and the course fees. If not, you are welcome to pay the costs yourself.
