Seminar on the European Youth Capital and its link to the EU Youth Policy

Institute Movit - Slovenian Youth in Action National Agency is looking for

The programme of activities will be developed and carried out by two trainers in consultation with the organisers.

Description

Dates & venue: Maribor, Slovenia, 5 -7 March 2013 (three full working days)


Aims & objectives: To review the achievements of the »European youth capital« initiative so far and to develop recommendation for the future, especially with regard to broader impact of European Youth Capital on the European Youth Policy. To exchange best practices in terms of youth related activities developed during the EYCs.


Number and profile of participants: cca 25 organizers and participants from former and future European Youth Capitals.

Requested trainer profile

-Sound knowledge of the European youth policy and understanding of its main structure and recent developments.
-Knowledge about the EU Youth in Action programme, its aims and measures
-Knowledge on the topic/concept of the European Youth Capital initiative is an asset;
-Overall trainer skills with regard to working with groups in non-formal educational settings.
-Experience in using methods that can be used in a culturally diverse groups;
-Experience in effective result oriented methods and facilitation, which will help the group to successfully review the past achievements of the European youth capital initiative, explores its current and/or possible link to the EU youth policy and develop recommendations for the future.
-Excellent English language skills.

Working conditions

The selected trainers are expected to participate in the prep meeting 9-10 January 2013 and, of course, the activity 5-7 March 2013 in Maribor. At the prep meeting, the trainers are expected to participate actively and develop a programme of the seminar in line with the aims of the activity and other instructions of the organisers;

The trainers are also expected to submit a final report of the seminar (the structure of the report will be specified at the preparation meeting).

Each trainer will receive a fee of €280 per day (2 days of preparatory meeting, 3 days of activity and 1 day for the report), which adds up to €1680 per trainer in total.

Team composition

In addition to the 2 selected trainers, the preparatory team will include also representatives of SI NA and the Office of the European Youth Capital Maribor 2013.
