Appetiser - How to use the YiA programme for local youth work

This aim summarises the entire idea of the seminar - to give a feeling, what it means to work with young people in an international setting. Leaving all explanations and knowledge aside, it is about giving a space for the participants to explore the advantage of 'internationality' themselves.

On an annual basis, the SALTO Training and Co-operation RC co-ordinates and monitors several Appetiser training courses for youth workers from all over Europe. The training courses are hosted by the NAs and are implemented by a trainers pool consisting of Monika Kezaite, Eylem Certel, Sakis Krezios, and Yvor Broer. On the right hand you can find the summary of the evaluation results of the previous Appetisers.

During the current period, the Appetiser training courses listed below are planned to take place. The NAs will recruit and select the participants; please check the details when you click on the relevant course.

• Appetiser in United Kingdom (15-19 September 2013) for participants from UK, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, and from the regions of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and South East Europe.
• Appetiser in Poland (9-13 October 2013) for participants from Poland, Flemish speaking community of Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Malta, Norway, Portugal, Turkey, and from the regions of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and South East Europe.
• Appetiser in Germany (3-7 February 2014) for participants from Germany, French speaking community of Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Sweden, Turkey, UK, and from the regions of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and South East Europe.
• Appetiser in Cyprus (11-15 March 2014) for participants from Cyprus, Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, UK, and from the regions of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and South East Europe.
• Appetiser in Turkey (5-9 May 2014) for participants from Turkey, Flemish and French speaking communities of Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, UK, and from the regions of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and South East Europe.
