SOHO - European Training Course for EVS Support People

Support people of EVS projects play a crucial role in the cooperation of Sending Organisations, Host Organisations, Co-Ordinating organisations and the volunteer. At a SOHO training course, mentors and task-related support persons from sending, host organisations and Co-Ordinating organisations meet in a multilateral context to exchange needs and expectations and to learn about quality aspects of EVS projects.

On an annual basis, the SALTO Training and Co-operation RC co-ordinates and monitors several SOHO training courses for ca. 250 mentors from all over Europe. The training courses are hosted by the NAs and are implemented by a trainers pool consisting of 7 European trainers: Monika Kezaite, Luisa Pagano, Jarkko Soininen, Gabriella Nagy, Barbora Stemper-Bauerova, Darko Markovic, and Tomasz Lubotzki. Please find below some evaluation results of the SOHOs which took place in 2008-9.

During the current period, the SOHO training courses listed below are planned to take place. The NAs will recruit and select the participants; please check the details when you click on the relevant course. 

• SOHO-ES in Spain (29 September - 3 October) including participants from Spain, the French speaking community of Belgium, the Flemish speaking community of Belgium, Czech Republic, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the regions of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and South East Europe.
• SOHO-PT in Portugal (10-14 October 2010) including participants from Portugal, the Flemish speaking community of Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Norway, Turkey and the regions of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and South East Europe.
• SOHO-SK in Slovak Republic (1-5 December 2010) including participants from Slovak Republic, Austria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Romania and the region of Eastern Europe and Caucasus.
• SOHO-LT in Lithuania (23-27 February 2011) including participants from Lithuania, Austria, the Flemish speaking community of Belgium, the French speaking community of Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the regions of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and South East Europe.
• SOHO-LU in Luxemburg (6-10 April 2011) including participants from Luxemburg, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and the regions of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and South East Europe.
• SOHO-FR in France (25-29 May 2011) including participants from France, Bulgaria, Finland, Hungary, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Slovenia, Switzerland and the regions of Eastern Europe and Caucasus and South East Europe.
