SALTO-YOUTH Title

BTM - Multilateral Training Course for Newcomers in Youth in Action, Action 1.1

BiTriMulti (BTM) is a training course based on simulation games, inputs, and group work. The training supports mainly newcomers to develop Youth Exchanges within the context of Youth in Action, Action 1.1.

Youth exchanges are standard activities of a long tradition within European and international youth work. Several possibilites to support youth exchanges are existing at national, European, and international level.

One possibility to support youth exchanges is Action 1.1 of the Youth in Action programme. Several indicators are recommended to meet the quality aspects of Action 1.1 and to be successful during the application process and the implementation of the project. The main aim of BTM is to support youth workers to achieve the expected quality standards.

On an annual basis, the SALTO Training and Co-operation RC co-ordinates and monitors several BTM training courses for ca. 200 youth workers from all over Europe. The training courses are hosted by the NAs and are implemented by a trainers pool consisting of 6 European trainers: Elizabeth Kasa, Gerald Dowden, Nerijus Kriauciunas, Marta Piszczek, Jo Claeys, and Evi Koutsospirou.

On the right one can find the statistical results of the BTMs in 2008-9, a short promotional sheet explaining what is BTM and a more detailed information pack for future participants of BTM.
