Training and Cooperation Plans

Get information on the training strategies of the National Agencies for Youth in Action!

The National Agencies (NAs) for the Youth in Action programme are responsible for the implementation of the programme at national level. They should support the development of youth work in Europe and the European co-operation in the youth filed. To support these objectives, the National Agencies have an instrument called Training and Co-operation Plan (TCP). The TCP is supporting the implementation of the NA work plans, set up annually by the NAs in negotiation with their national ministries and the European Commission.

Since 2001, the SALTO Training and Co-operation RC is in charge of implementing an annual TCP Seminar in close co-operation with NA representatives and the Youth Unit of the European Commission. The TCP officers of NAs meet once a year at the TCP Seminar to evaluate previous co-operation, to share good practise and to develop the European parts of the Training and Co-operation Plans (TCPs) together.

Concrete results (training courses, seminars, events) are visible at SALTO's European Training Calendar; we welcome also NGOs to edit training offers to the calendar.

In addition to unique training activities implemented once by National Agencies in the framework of their TCPs according to current demands and priorities, there are also fixed training formats offered by the network of National Agencies on a regular basis. These NA Network Training Courses are excellent opportunities for youth workers to develop the quality of their Youth in Action projects.
