EVS training sessions for volunteers

Training schedule of the Training and Evaluation Cycle for volunteers in SEE

According to the Youth in Action Programme Guide, all volunteers have the right and responsibility to attend EVS training sessions in order to receive the information about the European Voluntary Service, support in the duration of their service and receive tools that will help them achieve as much as possible in the time of their service.

Training and Evaluation Cycle (TEC) is implemented in every programme country by National Agency in that country. Since the neighbouring countries hold a status of partner countries and are only partially involved in the Youth in Action Programme the TEC is organised regionally. In South East European Region the TEC is implemented by SALTO SEE Resource Center and it has been since 2007. The volunteers from the whole region usually meet in one city in the region. This not only gives them the opportunity to meet the rest of the volunteers in the region but also to get to know different realities within the region itself.

The whole cycle consists of four training or evaluation meetings and every volunteer needs to attend all of them. Pre-departure training and Final Evaluation Meeting are held in the volunteer's country or region of origin and On-arrival training and Mid-term Evaluation Meeting their host country or region.
