Study visit: After the arab spring - Youth work reality in Tunisia

Better understand the change after the Revolution and the role of new associations in the society's development.

Opportunity to discover, reflect and share about youth work in the society and to create partnership for cooperation.

The activity is co-organised by Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Republic of Tunisia,SALTO EuroMed, the Tunisian EMYU and the RCBS.

Aims and Objectives

  • to discover Youth, Youth Policy  and Youth Work  realities in Tunisia.
  • to learn about youth policies and youth work realities in Tunisia;
  • to share experiences and practices;
  • to foster mutual knowledge and understanding
  • to promote sustainable contacts between the youth NGOs aiming at future development of projects within the Youth in Action and Euromed Youth Programs

Participants

This study visit is only open to Programm Countries participants (i.e. EU and EFTA member states, Turkey)

- 13 experienced youth workers from Program Countries (i.e. EU and EFTA member states, Turkey) as well as

-13 NA’s officers (i.e. representatives of the National Agencies of the Youth in Action Program).

In the best case a national pair composed with each profile.

- The situation of Youth nowadays and its needs
- Introduction to the Tunisian Youth Policy
- Meetings with the EU Delegation and Ministry
of Youth
- Presentation of the youth work reality in Tunisia
- Visits to different youth organization and
institutions.
- Presentation of participants and organisations
- Presentation of the Youth in Action Program
with special focus on cooperation with the
Neighboring Partner Countries of the European
Union
- Presentation of the EuroMed Youth Program IV

Boarding and lodging

The lodging, board and local transportation will be provided by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Republic of Tunisia.

Travel cost

International travel costs as well as visa costs will be paid by relevant National Agencies of the Youth in Action Program.
