Looking back | Looking forwards | Conclusions and recommendations Conclusions and RecommendationsA strategy for quality in youth work and youth policy through Youth in Action should include a training strategy, communication measures, valorisation of non-formal learning, co-operation, and youth research. With regard to the demand of the Youth in Action programme "to developing the quality of support systems for youth activities and the capabilities of civil society organisations in the youth field", it will still be necessary to invest to an increased extent in the present aims of the European Strategy for Training in YOUTH: good and important achievements should be kept, further steps in the right direction are to be taken, and new needs are to be evaluated and to be implemented in a common strategy. On the 3rd day, the participants of the conference managed to end with common conclusions and a list of next steps in the near future, which should be taken in order to develop a common strategy for "quality in European youth work and youth policy through Youth in Action". As an Annex of the conclusions, you will find concrete recommendations for seven Actions of the Youth in Action programme. The Annex cannot be seen as a complete list of recommendations, nor was it agreed on by all participants of the conference. Nevertheless, it can provide a basis for further discussion to be held between the different stakeholder groups concerned.
