The European Commission aims to support the introduction, implementation, and promotion of innovative and qualitative elements in non-formal education and youth work. The projects must have a clear transnational European dimension and contribute to European co-operation in youth matters. The Education, Audiovisual and Cultural Executive Agency of the European Commission is in charge of the Innovative Projects, please click here to find more information about the last call for Action 4.4 in 2007.

The SALTO Training and Co-operation RC supports the co-operation and valorisation of Innovative projects within the context of its support of a European Training Strategy for Youth in Action.

To get informed about approved Innovative projects between 2000 and 2005, please visit SALTO's database below. The database gives information about the projects' content and the contact details of several partners implementing the projects; maybe also in your country!

One aim of the SALTO Training and Co-operation RC is to support the National Agencies for Youth in Action in developing their training strategies to implement the programme at national level. As a part of this strategy, SALTO organised a meeting of promoters of approved Innovative projects and representatives of the YOUTH National Agencies (5-7 September 2005 in Bonn / Germany). The meeting aimed to exchange good practice, to identify co-operation possibilities and synergy effects, and to support the valorisation of the project results; please find attached the report.
