Come together - The art of asking structural questions
This workshop wants to offer a safe space for sharing and analysing opportunities and challenges connected to a possible cooperation between migrant and non migrant organisations in the international youth work.
During the last decades the cooperation between youth organisations representing majority and minority perspectives has strongly improved and could strengthen involvement andinclusion of young people with a migrant family history in the European Youth programmes.
- Fact or fiction?
In fact in Europe the cooperation between migrant and non-migrant youth organisations is often rudimentary and the access opportunities to programmes like ‘YOUTH IN ACTION are not the same for all young members of our societies.
This workshop wants to offer a safe space for sharing and analysing opportunities and challenges connected to a possible cooperation between migrant and non migrant organisations in the international youth work: we want to explore our needs and visions and discover starting points for change.
On our way we will share experiences, deal with ‘boxes’ and power relations and have a look at different levels of organisational life, cooperation and opening.
Target group: professional and volunteer youth workers from migrant and non-migrant organisations involved or interested in international youth work like youth exchanges, European Voluntary Service etc. and willing to include more young people with a migrant family history in their international and national activities through organisational cooperation and development.
