"Euro-Med Youth Awards" for best projects

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Barcelona Declaration and significant achievements of the Euro-Med Youth Programme, a special event will be held in Cairo, Egypt, from 12 to 16 October 2005. This event is co-organised by the Egyptian National Coordination Office, Salto Youth Euro-Med RC and the Euro-Med Youth Platform, under the patronage of the European Commission, and in cooperation with the European Youth Forum.

LIST OF AWARDED PROJECTS

 

Objectives:

1. Visibility of Euro-Med Cooperation through the Celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Barcelona Declaration with key partners from the youth field.
2. Enhancing the achievements of the Euro-Med Youth Programme by sharing good practices.
3. Giving a new impetus for future partnership and cooperation within the Euro-Med Youth Programme.

Specific objectives:

1. Information round table on the Euro-Med Youth Programme and future cooperation.
2. Sharing good practices amongst actors of the Euro-Med Youth Programme.
3. Workshop between key actors and participants on the role and place of Euro-Med NGOs.
4. Partner matching during a 'Partners' market'.
5. Euro-Med Youth Award ceremony for most significant achievements and best projects within the Euro-Med Youth Programme.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

All presented and selected projects will be potential candidates for the
Euro-Med YOUTH Awards!

Categories include: Action 1, Action 2, Action 5 (see application form for more details)

- Projects must have been financed by the Euro-Med Youth Programme
- Projects must have been implemented successfully
- Concrete products (videos, books, reports, etc) must exist to be presented
- Complete applications must be submitted at latest by 31 August 2005
- Applications not fulfilling the criteria set out above will not be considered - Candidates' travel and lodging costs must be supported as set out below

For MEDA participants (other than Egyptians): To the Euro-Med Platform
For EU participants: To their respective National Agencies for the European Youth Programme

- If selected - Candidates' TRAVEL COSTS must be supported:
For Egyptian participants: By the Egyptian National Coordination Office
For MEDA participants (other than Egyptians): By the Euro-Med Platform
For EU participants: By their respective National Agencies for the European Youth Programme

- If selected - Candidates' LODGING COSTS will be supported:
